</p><p>ABOUT US<br>Interior Motives Custom Upholstery Inc. is a North York based company that provides furniture and automotive repair and upholstery services. We specialize in custom automotive leather and vinyl interiors, marine leather and vinyl upholstery, and rip and tear upholstery repair.</p><p>ABOUT VACANCY<br>At this time, we are looking for an experienced Finish Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent understanding of custom furniture work and will be able to work under pressure.</p><p>MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br>• Read and interpret blueprints and custom-made specifications to determine what kind of finishing work the project needs<br>• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed<br>• Shape materials to prescribed measurements and ensure that casework hardware is properly installed<br>• Apply finish to wooden and other surfaces<br>• Fit and install trim items and hardware<br>• Estimate labour and material costs<br>• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures<br>• Ensure quality of work meets standards<br>• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner</p><p>QUALIFICATIONS<br>- Completion of secondary school<br>- Minimum 1-2 years of related experience working with furniture finishing<br>- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques<br>- Ability to pay close attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment<br>- Good knowledge of manual and powered tools and their use</p><p>WORK CONDITIONS<br>- Permanent, full-time position<br>- $26.80 per hour<br>- 35 hours of work per week<br>- Overtime pay ($40.20/ hour) applies after 44 hours of work per week<br>- Work location: 4361 Chesswood Drive, North York, ON M3J 2C2</p>
