</p><p><br>Business: Chabad of Markham o/a Torah Tots Preschool<br>Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant (NOC 4214)<br>Location of work: 83 Green Lane, Thornhill, ON L3T 6K6<br>Salary: $25 - $30 an hour<br>Terms of employment: Permanent, full time<br>Hours of work: 40 hours per week<br>Language: English<br>Benefits: Eligible for bonuses and/or salary increases in accordance with company policy.<br>Contact: Applicants apply by email. rebbetzin@chabadmarkham.org;</p><p>Duties:<br>• Support pre-school educators by overseeing classroom;<br>• Implement and assist with the child-care program for our toddlers and nursery children;<br>• Engage with children, create positive learning atmosphere, and maintain organized environment;<br>• Evaluate the skills, interests, and needs of children;<br>• Prepare accurate and detailed reports for each child; meet with parents and discuss child’s academic achievements;<br>• Lead activities for each child to ensure progress in their social, emotional, academic development;<br>• Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours; and<br>• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.<br>Qualifications:<br>• Completion of secondary school is required;<br>• Post-secondary education in a related field is preferred;<br>• 3-5 of teaching experience at the Nursery level is required;<br>• 3-5 years of experience in a child care environment is required;<br>• Ability to communicate in Hebrew is strongly preferred;<br>• Previous experience in a Jewish nursery school is an asset;<br>• A passion for working with children;<br>• Strong interpersonal skills to gain trust and respect of children and their parents; and<br>• Understanding of the Jewish faith and religion.</p>
