Serving the Greater Toronto Area, we offer specialized services from renovations to staging to furniture upholstery. Name it, we’ll do it!</p><p>Constantly growing and always looking for innovative ideas, we are now in search of an experienced Custom Furniture Upholsterer. The ideal candidate will have years of experience in custom upholstering for European and Old-American pieces.</p><p><br>Job Duties are as follows:<br>• Consult with management on final design output, materials, costs<br>• Come up with final patterns and sketches and prepare blueprints<br>• Read work orders and implement design using specialized materials<br>• Cut, fit, attach, and install parts and accessories<br>• Clean and insert foam padding<br>• Restore and upholster custom furniture pieces<br>• Ensure finished products do not have defects<br>• Perform on-site maintenance, if applicable<br>Additional duties:<br>• Use different hand tools and equipment<br>• Cut wood for different frames<br>• May conduct on-site design and costs assessment<br>The following are required:<br>• A secondary high school diploma;<br>• At least 2 years of experience in custom furniture upholstering<br>• Ability to work under pressure<br>• Thorough knowledge of purchasing sales and training processes<br>• Good English communications skills</p><p>Conditions of Employment:<br>• Full time, permanent position – 35 hours per week<br>• $20.00 per hour. Applicable 1 ½ rate will apply after 44 hours of work week<br>• Location of work: 176 Wigwoss Dr. Woodbridge, ON, L4L 4M2. May be required to travel for work.
