Construction Worker

Job Overview:<br><br>This job will be available starting on Monday May 4, at the south Nanaimo job site.<br><br>You will be reporting to the construction site foreman, and you will be responsible for performing general labour activities at the job site. We are currently beginning to construct 3 new residential houses in south Nanaimo, and lot preparations are well underway. Plans are to start the foundation work in the first week of May. Your role will be to complete carpentry and construction tasks:<br>- Loading/unloading construction materials<br>- Completing basic carpentry tasks, supporting all associated trades (electricians, plumbers, etc.) with associated construction activities<br>- Experience with residential house foundation forming, framing, exterior and interior installations.<br><br>Essential requirements:<br>- Physically fit, capably to frequently lift, carry objects weighing up to 20 kilograms<br>- Experienced using carpentry related tools and equipment<br>- Have prior construction experience<br>- Have basic construction tools and safety equipment.<br><br>Work Conditions:<br>- You will work mostly outdoors, on-site during regular business hours.<br>- Overtime and/or weekend work may also be required<br>- Compensation will be hourly rate: $15 to $25 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.<br><br>About Us:<br>This construction is managed by an experienced Construction Firm based in the Vancouver area: an experienced family house builder.<br>
