Chef Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION

<p>

ON<br></p><p>We are looking for an experienced and qualified Chef Supervisor to organize the kitchen’s activities. You will be the first in command in the facilities and will create and inspect dishes before they arrive at the customers ensuring high quality and contentment.</p><p>Job duties:<br>•Co-ordinate and supervise the food preparation process and any other relative activities<br>•Advise corporate team with menus creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings<br>•Approve dishes before they reach the customer<br>•Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages<br>•Arrange for repairs when necessary<br>•Remedy any problems or defects<br>•Be fully in charge of training kitchen staff<br>•Oversee/supervise the work of subordinates<br>•Estimate staff’s workload and compensations<br>•Maintain records of daily meetings, checklists and attendance<br>•Comply with health and sanitation regulations and safety standards<br>•Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers</p><p>Terms of employment: Full-Time, Permanent</p><p>The language of work: English</p><p>Wage: $16-20/hour</p><p>Benefits package being offered: 2 weeks paid vacation per year, yearly bonus program, free meals (under certain conditions)</p><p>Location or locations of work:</p><p>Seeking 1 applicant for each of the following locations:<br>179 Dundas St W, Toronto, ON M5G 1C7<br>153 Bank St, Ottawa, Ontario K1P 5N7<br>30 Adelaide St E, Toronto, ON M5C 3G8</p><p>Contact information to apply for the job:<br>michael@sansotei.com</p><p>Skills requirements:<br>•Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress<br>•Outstanding communication and leadership skills, Japanese language skill is an asset<br>•Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes<br>•Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)<br>•Credentials in health and safety training<br>•Good understanding of Japanese cuisine especially ramen</p><p>Required education:<br>• Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline or several years of experience in food preparation or service are required.</p><p>Required work experience:<br>•Proven several years experience in food preparation or service<br>•Proven exceptional ability of kitchen management</p>
