An ideal candidate will be a self-starter with extensive merchandising experience who enjoys building long-term business relationships.</p><p>MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p>• Assume overall responsibility for all procurement activities<br>• Research, select and purchase quality furniture and décor supplies<br>• Prepare purchase orders, validate and reconcile suppliers invoices<br>• Monitor progress of delivery schedules<br>• Establish and develop key strategic vendor partnerships, source and negotiate best possible terms with both import and domestic vendors, manage vendors database<br>• Research, analyze and interpret market trends, attend trade shows and other special events<br>• Ensure adequate stock level is maintained at all times<br>• Maintain records in accordance with established policies and procedures</p><p>QUALIFICATIONS<br>• Completion of secondary school<br>• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Business, Marketing or a related field is an asset<br>• Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing and merchandising<br>• Fluent English<br>• Excellent communication and negotiations skills</p><p>WORK CONDITIONS<br>- Permanent, full-time position<br>- $25.00 per hour<br>- 35 hours of work per week<br>- Overtime pay ($37.50/ hour) applies after 44 hours of work per week<br>- Work location: 265 Hood Rd, Unit 1, Markham, ON L3R 4N3</p>
